International meeting on the energy transition in London

Prof Navarro took part in an international meeting in London on Monday and Tuesday at the invitation of UNAM Germany - Centre for Mexican Studies.

As part of the event, he gave a presentation on the energy transition and participated in the development of new project ideas. The meeting was also attended by academics from various disciplines, including sociology (France), materials science (Spain and the UK) and electrical engineering (Mexico).
The discussions were wide-ranging and led to initial project approaches in the area of energy supply resilience, among other things. In particular, a sociologist from France and an electrical engineer from Mexico signalled their interest in further cooperation, which could develop into a joint initiative.
In addition, the possibility of offering joint online lectures between the THI and UNAM was discussed. The format is based on existing international teaching collaborations and is intended to involve students from Mexico and Germany at the same time.
