The Institute of New Energy Systems focuses its research on pioneering technologies in the field of renewable energy. Its main areas of focus are the technological fields of Industrial Energy Systems, Energy Systems Engineering and Domestic Energy Systems, as well as technology transfer, international project management and international energy research.
Research and Transfer Center Sustainability Neuburg (ForTraNN)
The Research and Transfer Center Sustainability Neuburg, as an in-house institute of the THI, is dedicated to applied research in the field of sustainability. Its main areas of focus are sustainable construction, sustainability management, sustainable entrepreneurship and sustainable systems analysis relating to the implementation of the energy transition.
Institute for Applied Sustainability (inas)
The Institute for Applied Sustainability (inas) carries out work on key issues for the future, such as energy, climate, resource conservation, the circular economy and sustainable organisational development. As an affiliated institute of THI and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, it combines research expertise with practical support, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.
